    6L6s but I wish I would have had some 6V6s with me. The sound guys decided the 2Strokes were too loud at 8 watts so they turned them around and put two mics on each amp and then cranked it in the house. It sounded great but looked a little weird. The back line they had set up before we danced in the 2Strokes were 30 watt amps so I don’t really know what the issue was, the other bands that played that night were way loud.

    BTW I have two new cabinets for the new 2Stroke “Mini” half done.

    I think I can closeout this thread by saying after adding a standby/Pentode/triode switch, I inadvertently found the wire that was the cause of hum.

    adding the switch added a tone of hum, but moving it (and its many attached leads) about three mm made the big hum go down to virtually nothing .

    the only noise you hear now is a tiny bit of hiss and only when cranked .
